Okechukwu was admitted to the Nigerian Bar (BL) in 2003. He graduated from the University of Benin in Nigeria in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B). He also has obtained a Bachelors degree in Philosophy (B.Phill) from the University of Lagos in 1990. He has a Masters of Law degree (LL.M) from the University of Lagos (2009).
